Chile colorado rojo para tamales

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of each:
    • Guajillo
    • New Mexico
    • California

Instructions

  • Clean pods and remove seeds
  • Rinse four times with cool water
  • Soak in hot water, not boiling, for 20-30 min. Reserve water.
  • When chiles have expanded and water is cool, take them out of the water and blend with water that has been reserved from the soak, 1/4 cup at a time
  • You may need to blend in batches and then mix together
