Instant pot shredded chicken para tamales

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs of chicken thighs
  • Salt
  • Half an onion, sliced
  • pepper
  • 3 cloves of garlic chopped
  • Alternatively: Sophie's salt, pepper, garlic powder

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to instant pot with one cup of water or chicken stock
  • Pressure cook on high for 10 min followed by 5 min release.
  • Use two forks to debone and shred chicken. Reserve broth for green sauce. Can also save bones for bone broth.
