Mexican Rice
Ingredients
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/4 sliced white onion
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp chicken bouillon powder
- 5 oz tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Add oil to pan, toast rice until golden on med/low heat (7ish min)
- Add onion, sautee one min or so
- Add garlic, sautee quickly
- Add tomato sauce, mix in
- Add bouillon and spices and mix
- Add water
- Cover and simmer. When water is boiling, lower heat to low
- Cook on low for 20 min
